Bond Brook Tread Fest

Bond Brook Tread Fest, June 24, 2017

Races begin at 9am

www.treadfest.org

Online registrations are now closed - closed as of Thursday, June 22 at 5pm. Please feel free to arrive day of and if the race is not filled to capacity new cyclists are welcome!

Welcome to the all new Bond Brook Tread Fest!!! The event has a lot going on this year and as you can we’ve shaken things up quite a bit!! There is something for everyone. We are really excited to bring this Stage Race to the region. As an athlete you can go “all in” or pick and choose the events that appeal to you. We hope we have created something for everyone and that a ton of the riding community come out to support the growth of the trails in the region. THIS EVENT IS A FUNDRAISER TO BUILD MORE AND BETTER TRAILS IN THE REGION. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.

FUN RACE/KIDS – 1 Lap: While all the stage racers are taking a break for lunch, the FUN RACE will take to the course at 3:30 pm. This is a kinder, gentler version of the 6 hour course and is meant to encourage participation from newer riders, those interested in a relaxed pace way to support the event, and kids.

Stage 1:This is a 6 hour endurance event. Ride as many laps as you can in 6 hours. Simple, straight foward, masochistic fun! Race it solo, or get a team together. Take it serious, or not at all, it’s completely up to you and a great way to spend the day riding your bike.

AFTER STAGE 1 AND THE FUN RACE WE WILL HAVE A BAND, TASTY FOOD, AND A BEER TENT. PLAN TO CAMP OUT AND ENJOY THE AFTERNOON FESTIVITIES.

Stage 2:This is a Mountain Bike time trial. The course will be 5-6 miles long and will be a different variation from any of the other stages. You will be racing against the clock and at the end of the day there are no categories, no brackets, and no extra podiums. There will be 3 men and 3 women on the podium. If you are competing in the entire event your time will be added to your total. The stage will kick off at 9 am with riders leaving at 30 second intervals. We will start riders based upon previous results and/or your entry category in other stages. Be ready to ride at 9 with the understanding that you may have to wait your turn to start.

Stage 3: For the first time ever we are bringing an Enduro style event to Bond Brook. There will be 5 timed segments. All segments will be descents. Each segment will be timed and the cumulative time for each segment will determine the winners. We will recognize the fastest times for each segment during the awards. Between segments you can take your time getting to the next segment; catch your breath, have a drink, eat some food as there is no real rush. The “transition” as it’s known in big Enduro races will be a time to make sure you are rested and ready to start the next section(Within reason of course, we don’t want people stopping for a picnic between segments).

ColorDash 5K

ColorDash 5K - June 3, 2017

Benefitting Kennebec Valley Chamber & Augusta Downtown Alliance

Race Start: 8:30am - Packet Pick up: 7:00am

The Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce and Augusta Downtown Alliance are proud to join together to bring The Color Dash to downtown Augusta. Both organizations endeavor to invest in community growth and development in the Kennebec Valley by supporting their local businesses.

The vision is to have 800 dashers running through historic downtown Augusta and exposing them to the many businesses in the area. Total funds raised will be used to offer resources to the business leaders both in downtown Augusta and throughout the Kennebec Valley. They do this through promotion, educational seminars, community events, and by offering networking opportunities. The businesses that are a part of KVCC and the ADA are key players in our local economy – by supporting them we are providing a future for our community. We strive to paint a positive picture of Augusta and the Kennebec Valley by bringing dashers into our community and letting them experience all we have to offer.
