The 6th Annual Winterkids Downhill 24 is a team ski and snowboard challenge afundraiser to benefit WinterKids. Teams compete to see who can clock the most runs in 24 hours and who can raise the most money! Skiers can ski as much or as little as they want.

It's the only night of the year to ski under the lights of Sugarloaf!

Moonlight Climb - Sugarloaf

Moonlight Climb, February 21, 2018 

Join us on Wednesday, February 21st for our special Vacation Week Moonlight Climb.

Free and open to all ages, participants must be able to skin or snowshoe up to Bullwinkles and back down. No rides will be provided.

Bring a headlamp and plenty of water to get you up and down the mountain.

Coffee, tea and sweet treats provided free of charge at Bullwinkles.

Everyone participating in the event MUST register day of in the Guest Services area of the Base Lodge (look for the signs) between 10am & 2pm. Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

We will leave as a group from the Superquad at 5:30pm.

Limited touring gear available for rent at the Downhill Supply Company or by calling 207-237-6990.

7th Annual NEVI-Fest

NEVI-Fest ~ 7th Annual Blind/Visually Impaired Ski & Ride Festival

February 11 - 14, 2018

Sugarloaf Resorts welcomes back NEVI-Fest for the 7th annual Blind/Visually Impaired Ski & Ride Festival.  NEVI-Fest will kick off on Sunday night - February 11, 2018 - leading through Wednesday morning - February 14th, 2018. This three day event is full of skiing with experienced volunteer instuctors and guides who are there to help each individual feel more confident on the mountain. 

On Saturday and Sunday - February 10th and 11th - there will be guide clinics available for those interested in volunteering for the festival itself.  Please check back on the event page to verify the event schedule.  

The program and clinics will be utilizing the King Pine room as the base of operations throughout the entirity of the festival. All programs do require pre-registration, so please call ahead at (800)-639-7770 or email Maine Adaptive Sports and Recreation for more information.

Climb for a Cure

Kick off the 18th Annual Sugarloaf Charity Summit with the Climb for a Cure

Sugarloaf Mountain - December 28, 2017

Registration for the second annual Climb For A Cure will take place the day of the event in the Guest Services area of the Base Lodge from 10am-4pm.

All participants must be registered, no exceptions. Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Participants will meet at the Superquad at 4:30pm. 

We will leave as a group and climb, skin, or snowshoe to Bullwinkles for treats and warm beverages- all in support of the Sugarloaf Charity Summit.

Bring a headlamp, plenty of water, and warm layers. 

$10 suggested donation to benefit the Sugarloaf Charity Summit.

Please note, there are no rides back down the mountain.

4th Annual Northern Outdoors 10k

 

Saturday, September 16, 2017, 8am 

Baxter Outdoors is returning this September for the 4th Annual Northern Outdors 10k Trail Run and the sixth stop on the Baxter Outdoors 2017 New England Trail Run Series. The 6-mile "point to point" race begins at the ballfield in The Forks and continues south along the FAST (Forks Area Scenic Trail) ending at the Northern Outdoors Lodge. Shuttle transportation to the start of this one-way course is being provided by Northern Outdoors. We encourage you to stick around apres at The Lodge to enjoy some Baxter Beer and Northern Outdoors' own Kennebec River Brewing Co. Beer.

Solo Entry: $30

Additional Friday/Saturday night camping: $40 per night per person

Youth 16 and under always race for $15

9:45am - Shuttle for race start departs from Northern Outdoors and is provided by Northern Outdoors.

CAMPING 

Camping information is available on the race site: For $40 additional racers can purchase a camp site down by the river for 2 nights. All campsite spots include a spot for a tent, Friday night pasta dinner, and Friday night bonfire in our own private Baxter Outdoors section. Beverages are BYOB but we will be sure to bring plenty of our own to share. Plenty!
