Bates - National Girls & Women in Sports Day Recognition

Bates Atthletics Department Hosts National Girls and Women in Sports Day
 
 
Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, 12:30pm - 3:00pm ~ Come cheer on the Bobcats after the clinic! 
 

Girls ages five and up are invited to participate in an afternoon of activities with Bates Athletics!

The event is free and registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the Alumni Gym lobby. Participants can register online here. Various sports clinics will be led by Bates coaches and student-athletes and begin at 1 p.m.

All participants and their families are invited to cheer on the Bobcats as they take on Trinity in a NESCAC contest at 3 p.m. in Alumni Gym.

Dempsey Challenge

The #DempseyChallenge is an annual run, walk, cycle fundraiser to support the Dempsey Center, making life better for people managing the impact of cancer. The Challenge serves as the primary fundraiser for the Dempsey Center. The opening ceremony, presented by Patrick Dempsey, begins at 7 am both days with the races starting at varying times.

2019 Lakes & Mountains Area Walk to End Alzheimer's

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions!

When you participate in Walk, your fundraising dollars fuel our mission, and your participation helps to change the level of Alzheimer’s awareness in your community. The Alzheimer’s Association provides free, easy-to-use tools and staff support to help participants reach their fundraising goal. While there is no fee to register, we encourage participants to fundraise in order to contribute to the cause and raise awareness.

Together, we can end Alzheimer’s!

Safe Voices 5K to End Domestic Violence

 


Saturday, June 1st, @ Bates College, Lewiston

9am to 11am

Join us for a fun-filled day as we raise funds to support Safe Voices' mission: to support and empower those affected by Domestic Violence and engage the community in creating social change in Androscoggin, Oxford, and Franklin counties.

PRICING:

Runners = $25 pre-reg/$30 day of
Walkers = $20 pre-reg/$25 day of
Youth 5K Runners = FREE (must be 12 or under, does not include t-shirt or chipped bib)

Kids Fun Run = FREE (register the morning of June 1)

Register by 5/1 to ensure you get a race shirt in your preferred size.

5km Pub Club

Introducing the 5km Pub Club, Baxter Outdoors' new casual running club. We meet on the first Wednesday of each month for a 2.5km/5km group run followed by pints and a spaghetti dinner special at The Pub.

Our next run is February 6th! Brought to you in partnership with Lamey Wellehan. The event takes place at Baxter Brewing Co.
