This unique Canada to USA course is new in 2016 and is the originally intended half marathon course for this event. It starts at  Cook’s Point on Campobello Island, Canada, and joins the marathon course after approximately 600 metres / 1/3 of a mile. Runners proceed north for approximately 5 kms / 3 miles to turn at the northern tip of Campobello Island and then run south down the entire length of the island and across the international Franklin Delano Roosevelt Bridge into the USA to finish on the Lubec waterfront. Please note that the course is hilly and challenging.

52K Ultramarathon

For those who find our marathon too easy, step it up to a complete Quoddy Head to Head 52K Ultramarathon with 785 metres of total elevation gain. Start on the Lubec waterfront, run out to West Quoddy Head, round the lighthouse and then back to Lubec, cross into Canada over the bridge to Campobello Island, all the way up the island to East Quoddy Head, turn and run back down the island, across the bridge back into the USA, turn right and finish where you started on the Lubec waterfront. Provisional start time 5:30am ET. Water and gatorade every 3-4 kms / 2 miles.Course closes at 1:00pm ET (2:00pm AT). You may remain on the course after this time at your own risk. There will be no official support, traffic control, facilities, or timing beyond this 7.5 hour cut-off.
