Sugarloaf Uphill Climb

Just like our founders, Amos Winter and the Bigelow Boys, you'll be trudging up the mountain with your hands, legs and heart. This is no cake walk. You'll run from the base of Sugarloaf to the summit (about 2400 vertical feet). You'll sweat. You'll gasp for breathe. And in the end, you'll have tackled the toughest mountain run in Maine. Race starts at the SuperQuad 11:00 Sunday morning.

The Kids' Climb is a rowdy, friendly, fun obstacle course held on the Landing, Sunday at 10am. Proceeds from the Kids' Climb benefit Education Progarms at Western Maine Center for Children. Registration is open Sunday from 8-10am on the Beach - $10 per child. Categories are ages 3 to 5, 6 to 8 and 9 to 11 years.

Registration: 8am to 10am. Bib pickup at the Beach. Kids' climb - $10. Sugarloaf Hill Upclimb - $60.
