Looking for something really cool to do on New Year's Day? Perhaps one of your resolutions for 2016 is to help a great cause, to step (swim) out of your comfort zone, or to start the year off with a splash! We have an excellent opportunity that covers all of these!!!!
It’s time NOW to register for the 2016 Lobster Dip for Special Olympics Maine, Maine’s largest and original ocean plunge. The event will take place on New Year's Day at 12pm noon in front of the Brunswick Hotel at Old Orchard Beach, 39 West Grand Avenue, Old Orchard Beach.
In 2015 dippers raised close to $100,000 for our statewide, year-round program of sports training and athletic competitions for more than 4,000 adults and children who have intellectual disabilities! There are new incentives this year for individual and team dippers.
Here’s How to Participate:
Individuals – Raise a minimum of $100 and register properly.
Teams – 5 or more dippers may register as a team - each team member MUST raise a minimum of $100. Simply choose a team name (and team costume?) and register under that team name. There will be additional prize incentives apply for top fundraising teams!
Registration: Dippers must register properly, which means you MUST turn in a minimum of $100 and your completed Lobster Dip release form.
