Great Pumpkin 10K @ corner of Seaside Avenue and Route 9

Race course is a flat and fast, loop along the ocean, starting at the corner of Seaside Avenue and Route 9 and ending at Huot’s Restaurant in Camp Ellis.

T-shirts to first 100 entrants.

Race was started in 1978 and was selected in 2016 as a legacy race by the Maine Running Hall of Fame. Proceeds go to the American Lung Association of New England/Trek Across Maine, and the Tina M. Turcotte Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Awards to first place overall male and female, and first 3 in each age group: 1-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+. Random prizes at end of awards.

Race-day registration and packet pickup is at Huot’s Restaurant, 29 Eastern Ave., Saco (Camp Ellis).

Ghouls and Goblins will run amuck on All Hallows Eve. Take heed, for you never know what lurks in the deep of Pennessewassee. All those who dare, beware of the wicked weird and totally freaky you might happen to meet. So run fast but not too far for the end is near— The question here is quite clear….will you find a trick or treat this year? 

Join the brave at heart on October 28, 2017 at the Norway Town office for the Third Annual Wicked Weird and Totally Freaky Trick or Treat Trot by the Lake 5k/10k. This all ages and abilities event is sure to be bigger and better and weirder than the last!

Registration starts at 8:00, the 10k will kick off at 9:00, 5k will kick off 9:15 and the Wicked Walk will start at 9:25am. Join us after the races for entertainment and prizes for the top 5k/10k racers.

In 1985 The Progress Center Incorporated and today serves over 250 children, families and adults who experience disabilities in 49 communities in four counties in Maine. Located in the picturesque hills of Oxford County, The Progress Center has a proud history of supporting those in need. In addition to adult and children’s services, The Progress Center started the Community Kitchen in 2008. Our soup kitchen currently feeds, on average, 200 patrons for free every Thursday evening. As a non-profit organization we rely on our funders, sponsors and supporters to continue our mission which is “to promote independence and freedom of choice for the individuals we serve”.

Trackside Station Scare Me 5k

The Trackside Station Scare Me 5,  Saturday, Oct. 28th~

This annual 3.1 mile event will take place at 10 a.m. at Trackside Station, 4 Union St., Rockland, with registration starting at 9 a.m.


Individual fee: Age 18 + over - $18 

Students up to Age 17 - $15

Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome. This 5K is part of the local holiday 5K race series and organized by the non-profit One Community Many Voices.

One Community Many Voices, OCMV, based in Midcoast Maine, is a scholarship program to give people in need a "hand up," instead of a "hand out." The race is being run in collaboration with the non-profit Go! Malawi, who has organized the race series in the past.

The Trackside Station Scare Me 5K race is one of six holiday 5Ks (3.1-mile races) the non-profit organizes.

The 5K race is open to all and costs $20 on race day and $18 for those who pre-register. Preregistration is available online at Prizes will be awarded for the fastest male and female finishers and for the runner who finishes in the middle of the pack.

Register as a human or a zombie for the 5K event. Course has two laps around the Y trail and surrounding properties. Small obstacles throughout the course give an extra challenge. Humans begin the run first, then zombies are released to chase the humans and capture their lives!

Kids' Fun Run is one lap around Joe Clark trail, then continues on a modified route on the CLC Y's property for a distance of approx. three quarters of a mile.

Bath Rotary 4-Way 5K

The Bath Rotary 4-Way 5K Run/Walk will be professionally timed. The event will start and end at the Knights of Columbus Building on 807 Middle Street, Bath. The course has some slightly rolling hills.

Pre-registration fee: $20 (before October 6th) $25 Race Day Registration;

Students (18 & under) $10 (no shirt)

The first 50 registrants (before September 20th) will receive a free Sport-Tek long sleeve shirt. Distribution of shirts and bibs will only occur at registration check-in on the day of the race.  No other pickups are available. Registration and bib/t-shirt pick up will be from 7:00-8:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Knights of Columbus located on 807 Middle Street, Bath. Note: If you registered and cannot make it to the Bath Rotary 4-Way 5K but would still like your shirt, please contact race staff prior to the race. Runner packets not picked up by race start will be forfeited unless prior arrangements with race staff have been made.

Top finishers in their age category.

Registration Information

The Course

The Friends of Cumston Hall AppleFest 5K is open for all runners, joggers & walkers.  The course starts and ends at Cumston Hall (796 Main Street) and meanders along the side streets of Monmouth, ME with short glimpses of Cochnewagon Lake to the right as you approach the finish.

The Course Route

Starts at the cross walk in front of Cumston Hall, course heads north briefly on Main Street, turns left onto Academy Road heading uphill, passing Monmouth Fairgrounds (on the left) and then Monmouth Academy (on the right).  Continues straight on the flats ~.35 miles on Academy Road to the turnaround point (double-back hairpin turn around cone).  Returns towards Monmouth Academy and turns right onto Norris Hill Road, downhill to left onto Blue Road and its rolling approach on the last leg with Cumston Hall coming into view.  The finish will be in front of the arch of Cumston Hall.

Run for the Trees 5K - Run to End Hunger

Enjoy a nice run through the beautiful trails of the Viles Arboretum. This 5k run/walk is open to all ages and a get way to see the fall color and experience the hidden gem of Augusta. All the proceeds raised benefit the Viles Arboretum and the Maine State Credit Union's Ending Hunger Campaign.
