St. James School will host its annual 5K Road Race and FunRun on Saturday November 5, 2016.  All funds raised directly support our students by ensuring the tuition costs remain affordable and scholarship monies are available for families wishing to send their children to Catholic school.  This is a family event, so bring the kids for the FunRun.  There will be awards and family activities post race.

Lyseth Trails for Technology 5K Walk/ Run is a family friendly event. The course winds through quiet, less traveled roads of Portland's  North Deering Neighborhoods.  Walkers and runners alike will enjoy the community feel as neighborhood residents come out to cheer us on!  
Welcome back for our 3nd annual event. Our first Walk/Run was a great success. We had over 200 entries and it was a great community event. Come out and join us again this year. Bring all of your friends and family. We have expanded the field to greater than 300. Sign up now to ensure your place in this years fun filled event.

Support technology improvements in Lyseth classrooms! Our host, the Lyseth PTA, strives to augment the already stretched school budget and we need your help!
Come out and enjoy this fun, family, community walk/run in Portland's quiet North Deering neighborhood.  Kids (grades K - 5)  1/2 mile fun run starts at 9:30am (free to all participants), followed by 5K walk/run at 10am. Music, prizes and raffles to follow!

DESCRIPTION

Partners for World Health invites you to join us for Halloween Eve run through our very own trails behind the Rec Center! All proceeds benefit our efforts to ship a sea container of medical supplies to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This container will have over 40,000 pounds of supplies that would have otherwise been thrown away! Prizes will be awarded to top finishers as well as for best costume (no clowns please).

Partners for World Health

Organizer of Halloween 5k - PWH UMaine

Partners for World Health is an organization that is dedicated to making medical supplies readily available around the world. PWH collects medical supplies all over the state of Maine that would have other wise been discarded in land fills, and redistributes the supplies around the world. The supplies that we collect range from small bandages, to large operating tables and important surgical tools. Partners for World Health also takes numerous medical mission trips to various regions around the world that are in need of medical aid.

A scenic flat and fast course along the ocean.

Race starts at 9:30 AM at the corner of Seaside Ave. and Route 9, Camp Ellis. Day of registration at Huot's Seafood Rest., 29 Eastern Ave., Camp Ellis Beach. Race has been selected as a legacy race by the Maine Running Hall of Fame during 2016.

8th Annual Freaky 5K Hardy Girls, Healthy Women Event

 

8th Annual Freaky 5k Run/Walk: Saturday, October 29 @ Colby 

The Freaky 5k is a reminder that Halloween should be about imaginative and creative costumes, not the frighteningly sexualized ones peddled to even the youngest girls. We invite you to join us for a costumes appreciated trot through town in support of Hardy Girls Healthy Women.  Grab a bed sheet or a boa (and maybe a friend) and we will see you there!

Prices include a rad green ruckus yowie, pre-race festivities, and a timed result and are as follows: Youth & Students- $15 Adults- $25 and discounts for teams.  Register early! Day of registration is $35 for adults and $25 for youth & students.

 

Teams are three or more runners who commit to at least starting the race together. They qualify for the Team Costume Prize and each team member gets a discount on registration.  Adults on teams pay $20 and students on teams pay $10.  Before you register as a team, agree on a team name so you all put the same thing on your registration form.

The final race of the Midcoast Race Series in 2016 is The Scare Me 5k Event on Saturday October 29, 2016 at 10am at The Eclipse, 2 Park Drive, Rockland. 

Flat, fast scenic course that starts and finishes in Rockland at The Eclipse. Runners, walkers and dogs of all abilities are encouraged and loved. Best dressed human and best dressed dogs prize presented.

Santa Hustle Maine 5K & Half Marathon

Be a part of one of the largest growing race series as thousands of Santas will hit the streets of South Portland, ME at the Third Annual Santa Hustle Maine 5k & Half Marathon presented by Bon-Ton on Sunday, December 4, 2016. 

HALF MARATHON START: 7am
5K START: 7:15am

Every participant will receive a Santa hat, beard, and a lightweight performance hoodie, to wear while running. NEW for 2016! All finishers, 5K and Half Marathon, will receive a finisher medal! With outrageous holiday decorations, festive music, and a large after party!

The Santa Hustle Maine presented by Bon-Ton packet pick-up will be held Friday 12/2- Saturday 12/3 and on Race Day.

  • Race Day Packet Pick-Up WILL BE AVAILABLE this year from 5:30-6:45 a.m. — PPU will close exactly at 6:45 a.m. – Santa says to come early and be prepared for long lines

You may have a friend pick your packet up for you. They will need a copy of your confirmation ticket email and the correct spelling of your first and last name.
