SailMaine is a non-profit organization formed to support sailing in Maine at the community level. SailMaine connects people of all ages and abilities to the coast of Maine through fun and affordable sailing education, recreation, and competition, stimulating individual growth and creating community.

In the sailing lessons we offer, and we promote the values of leadership, self-reliance, sportsmanship, and respect for the environment that the craft of sailing teaches. Through our programs, SailMaine connects people of all ages to the sea, sharing our enduring love and appreciation of the coast of Maine and the ocean beyond. We provide local community access to the water, and promote growing understanding of our marine environment and heritage. 

We offer Junior Sailing Summer Programs, High School Competitive Sailing, Adult Learn to Sail Programs, Community and Corporate Programs, Adaptive Sailing, Social and Family Sailing and Boat Rentals

SailMaine’s 2018 Winter Office is located at 26 Gately Street in South Portland.  Hours are 9AM to 5PM.  Please call before coming by to make sure we are on site.
