Carrabassett Backcountry Cycle Challenge
Here is an update from the Carrabassett Backcountry Cycle Challenge organizers:
Registration opened February 1, 2025 and it was an EXCITING morning, watching most of the 2025 CBCC spots sell out quickly again this year! Thank you, racers; you’re the best! 
We received 189 sign-ups in the first 5 minutes, 389 sign-ups in the first hour, and 484 sign-ups in the first 24 hours! Wow. Congratulations if you secured a spot at our start line! At the time of this post, there are a small number of men’s and women’s 100k, women’s 50k, and women’s 25k spots spots still available.

Please note… There is no waitlist and no in-person registration for the 100k, 50k, and 25k races again this year; however, there is a transfer registration option… If you’re interested in a spot that is sold out or looking to transfer your spot, please check out our “TRANSFER REGISTRATION OPTION” Facebook post, which is pinned to the top of our Facebook page. And regarding the kids’ races (ages 2 to 12).
We will be announcing details on the kids’ races in the coming months. All proceeds from the kids’ races will benefit our friends at the Western Maine Center for Children.

Please stay tuned…Online registration for the 2025 Carrabassett Backcountry Cycle Challenge opened on February 1 at 7:00 AM EST at https://www.bikereg.com/carrabassett-backcountry-cycle-challenge – sign up early to secure your spot as the CBCC will be capped at 500 total racers (175 racers for the 100k, 200 racers for the 50k, and 125 racers for the 25k).
Participation in this race will support Carrabassett Region NEMBA trail maintenance and development, youth bike camps, and the Town of Carrabassett Valley mountain bike race fund for future events. It’s the largest yearly fundraiser for the local trails!
The 100k race is part of the National Ultra Endurance Mountain Bike Race Series.
